Your help is needed to help protect yourself and your pregnancy from the Zika virus. The virus is spread mainly by the bite of an infected mosquito and can also be sexually transmitted. Zika virus infection during pregnancy can cause a serious birth defect called microcephaly, as well as other severe fetal brain defects.

There are steps you can take, and the March of Dimes, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the CDC Foundation have asked for help in sharing this important information. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation is presenting radio and online messages to assist in this effort.
